Monetize Your Website (Make Money With Your Website)

Monetize Your Website And Make Money With Your Website, 24hrs A Day, 365 Days a Year

Make money with your website with "little effort" and "no hard selling" without "Multi-level Marketing" scams?  This lesson is for those who already have a website up and running, if you don't already have your own website click here:  "Real Internet Home Business Thats Free" for free information on how to create your own website.

Let's assume hypothetically that you own "JoeHandyconstruction.com" (for the purpose of this example a fictitious company) and you are offering contractor services for home repairs and renovations. You might have a photo's of your work so that your visitors can see what you can do, your contact information, a short bio about your company and a few quotes for certain types of jobs as an example. These are all the things you might have on your site to attract business to your company should any visitor be in the market to have such work performed by your company.

                                    Actually  Monetizing Your Website

When it comes to making money all the time 24hrs a day, 365 days a year, "while you sleep" even, you would need to have your site "monetized".  To monetize your site you would need to form "affiliate partnerships" with merchants offering products in your "market" or "niche" that your site visitors would most likely be interested in also should they require your services. Now, you might wonder, If I offer other merchants products on my website, then how will I get paid?, its simple you received commission payments for each sale of merchandise generated from your site. This way even if a visitor to your site decides not to use your services but see's an "ad" on your site for something that he/she would like to purchase you will still make money from the commission sale of that merchandise. This is a for sure way to constantly generate a steady stream of income from your website, but be careful when selecting merchants to promote, you don't want to promote merchants who might otherwise be in competition with your services or that you might infringe upon their services. One of my favorite affiliate programs is the "Google Affiliate Network",  They have one of the largest selections of Products from which you could choose to promote, "Google" also offers Adwords, Adsense,  Analytics and many other great Webmaster Tools that will be extremely beneficial to the success of your website and I "strongly encourage you to join", "Googles"  "Adwords" and "Adsense" programs.

Most affiliate programs on the market today are free to join and often times their approval methods are based on how relevant, and rich a sites content, and layout is designed. Some tend to base approval into their networks on how much traffic a site has but nevertheless, if your site is rich in content, and design, you should have no problem getting acceptance into most affiliate marketing programs. One of the first orders of business is to review the merchants or affiliate programs policy before applying to the program, some merchants do not allow campaigning for certain keywords which contain their "DBA" titles, trademarks, patents etc.

Once your website has received acceptance into an affiliate program you will be given a "link" containing your "tracking identification number" to place into your website.  These "tid's" (tracking id numbers) will be imbedded into the link you are given by the affiliate program, make sure you are able to verify your "tid" and that the number is imbedded in all links you are give by that particular affiliate program. This "tid" number tracks where the sale of a product was generated from, thereby crediting your website for the commission sale when ever a  purchase is made by a visitor to your site. Most all internet marketers are utilizing this as a standard protocol to generate income aside from whatever their main theme for their website maybe.

Commissions vary from program to program, most offer 4% and up of the total online shopping cart per user for payments to their affiliates, some I have seen offer as much as 10 % of the total cart, while others a flat rate fee for each purchase made by your visitor. Multiply these fees by a few thousands visitors and you could be making  a very lucrative "cash flow" from your website. Commission checks are usually paid by the affiliate programs on a monthly basis and some even offer direct deposits. Please carefully review each Affiliate Programs Policies thoroughly for a full understanding of each regarding its commissions.

As mentioned above "Google Affiliate Network" is a great program to join if you would like to get started with promoting products (Monetizing Your Website) right away. Also, "Linkshare" and "Commission Junction" are other notable affiliate program networks.

Links can come in many forms, some programs offer text links only, while others offer both text links, anchored/image links including deep links to certain products, carefully review each program for its linking capabilities.
